Stoke Snooker Club v Jesters Snooker
Club (Swindon)
The Swindon and Gosport Challenge
Saturday 29th July 2006 saw the first half of
the Swindon and Gosport Challenge at Stoke Snooker Club.
11 players led by Paul Rose representing Jesters
travelled down from Swindon to take part in the challenge at snooker,
darts and pool. Stoke Snooker Club was represented members of
the Stoke Junior Section and members of the club.
In the snooker event we lost overall by 7 points
to 4. Our winning players were Dean Freeman, Jack Robson, Sean
Spillett and Lee Warner. Unfortunately I lost to Paul Rose in
our game.
In the darts event we won overall by 7 points
to 4. Our winning players were Sean Spillett, Richard Douglas,
Dean Freeman, Josie Barrington-Smith, Lee Phillips, Tony Dearing
and Andy McMillan.
In the pool event we eventually won by 6 points
to 5. Our winning players were Lee Warner, Ross Booth, Andy Rigby,
Dave Norman, John Deacon and the winning and final game of the
afternoon was won by Andy McMillan.
Therefore overall we won by 17 points to 16
and for the first time since the challenge has been organised
Stoke Snooker Club has won a match against Jesters.
